Aguilas' ace Kyle Roberts took the mound against former champs Matanzas and did not stop until he got all 27 outs of the game. Roberts dominated Matanzas' bats since the beginning and became the first pitcher in Las Aguilas history to throw a complete game shout out allowing only 4 hits. Matanzas has the second best record in the league (11-3) and 3 of their players and in the top 10 in avg. However, Roberts did not seen to care much about that and silence the bats for 9 innings straight. Roberts hasn't allow any runs in his last 11 innings now. Las Aguilas scored 3 runs in the first and one in the six being this 4 runs enough for Las Aguilas win their 4th of the season.
Juan Berrios keep being hot with the bat, now he have single in every game he has played so far and RBI one more run. Shortstop Xavier Gomez was taken out of the game in the last inning for precaution coach Cabrera Said "He is not injured, he was filling a little groin and we didn't want to take a risk so we left him rest the last inning". Cabrera also said that he is expecting Gomez to play next game.
Las Aguilas still are 3.5 games behind La Vinotinto for that last spot in the playoffs with only 7 games left including 2 against La Vinotinto, the team will have to put themselves in a position to win as many as they can if they want to classified to the playoffs. Next week Las Aguilas face Los Angeles in a game that will be fun to watch. DO NOT MISS IT.
